Tips for growing long nails for nail art

Nails are easy to grow. For a healthy individual, it should not take more than two to three weeks to grow long nails. But it’s hard to keep them from ripping, cracking, and tearing once they get that long. Here are some care tips for growing long natural nails that are perfect for paintings.

Eat to be healthy

Healthy eating is the basis for great-looking nails and hair. It is better to eat a balanced diet than to eat unhealthy and overcompensate with supplements. Nails reflect our overall health, which is why a doctor looks at the color of your nails during an exam. Eat foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids such as fish and nuts to improve keratin.

Choose a better file

Some nail care tools do more harm than good, such as cardboard and wooden nail files. Cardboard files are cheap and disposable but if you file your nails regularly, try using a glass file instead. Glass files have an abrasive surface that smooths edges without damaging the nail plate.

Use wooden skin pushers

Avoid metal cuticle pushers, which scrape and mark the surface of the nail. Instead, use disposable birch wood skin pushers. Wood pushers are less likely to scratch the surface of the nail and are more hygienic because they are disposable. When you’re done with your nails, ask your manicurist not to use a metal pusher or provide your own wooden cuticle pushers.

moist

Nails crack as they dry out. Regularly massage your hands with oils or lotions. There are products designed to moisturize the skin. It doesn’t have to be any special product, just be sure to make moisturizing part of your routine. For those with brittle nails, avoid acetone as a nail polish remover. Acetone is very volatile and dries very quickly. Instead, use an acetone-free nail polish remover.

Layer with nail products

Ridge fillers, base coats, and top coats help strengthen nails and protect nails from moisture. There are also nail hardeners sold specifically to keep nails strong while they grow out for a long time.

Round nails vs. square nails

If you feel tears at the edge of the fingers, use a file to shape the nails into rounded tips or the more retro almond-shaped tips. This simple change prevents any future edge ripping or tearing.

Put on the gloves

Wearing work gloves will prevent damage to your hands. So be sure to have gloves for all of your DIY jobs – including washing dishes, laundry, gardening, and mechanical repairs.

Never cut or file nails

Cut and file nails before soaking them in cuticle remover or soap and water. Never cut and file when hands are wet. Wet or wet keratin ruptures and breaks in the nail bed. It does not cut as cleanly as it should when dry.

Don’t over polish

Buffing is a great treatment for bumpy surfaces, as it removes the top layer of the nail to smooth the surface of the nail and make it shine. But don’t over polish or your surface will become thin and weak. Polish it only when needed, once a week or less.

Do not over-trim the excess skin

Nail scales are there for a reason, they protect the nail bed from dirt and bacteria. Injured skin can lead to abnormal nail growth. A severe infestation can cause the entire deck to die and fall off. Trim the cuticle only occasionally to keep it clean, but whenever possible, don’t cut the cuticle at all. Instead, push it back gently with the wooden leather pusher.

For Elmer, growing long natural nails is a particularly challenging task. Chewing, sucking and biting are a coping tool that we use to relieve anxiety. Most bitter people find distraction strategies to break their habits. Replace your nail-biting habit with another action to prevent you from biting your nails. Try putting on a glass nail file whenever you feel like biting your nails. You can also try getting an expensive manicure to remind yourself not to bite your nails. There are products available at your local drug store that change the taste of your fingertips to help discourage nail biting.
